Entertainment – brilliant ideas to add that bit of something unique and exciting to your wedding day
There are so many fantastic options when it comes to incredible entertainment or unique ideas to make your day a little different.

1. Axe throwing/Archery
One of my best friends had axe throwing and archery during one of her drinks reception & it was a huge amount of fun. All the guests had a great time.
Perfect for a summer wedding, especially teepee and woodland weddings.
This makes for some super unique wedding photos.
2. A bouncy castle
A real crowd pleaser, especially if you have lots of children attending your wedding. Another great one for marquee weddings and venues with lots of open space.
3. Singing waiters
Ok, so not a new idea. Singing waiters have been super popular in 2022, I don’t expect this to stop in 2023. A fantastic way to add some entertainment to your wedding breakfast. They really do get a party started and make for some really fun photos.
Imagine your guests waving napkins and doing the conga around the tables, this is the sort of thing you can expect when booking singing waiters for your wedding day.
4. Magician
Another fun option for breaking up a drinks reception, or to go round the tables at your wedding breakfast, is a magician.
There are some truly fantastic magicians to choose from. You’ll have your guests pondering how they did that trick for weeks.
5. Face painting
Another great option for those with lots of children attending their wedding is a face painter. Or someone who does face gems or glitter tattoos is equally as good.
I personally love the gems and they are great for adults as well as children.

6. Ice cream van or cart
You can hire anything from full size ice cream van’s to cute little ice cream bikes. A nice treat on a summers day, whilst your guests are enjoying your drinks reception.
Also good to keep hunger away, between your ceremony and wedding breakfast. An alternative or in addition to canapés.
7. Wedding themed mini golf
One of the weddings I photographed this year, the bride and groom were huge golf fans. They had wedding themed mini golf set up at their wedding venue, which the guests loved. It also gave some friendly competition, which was wonderful on photographs.
8. Fireworks
Some evening entertainment set to wow your guests is a firework display. These can be expensive, but they can range from a fabulous 5 minute display to a full blown extravaganza.
Alternatively, if this is out of budget, or your venue doesn’t allow fireworks, sparklers are a great alternative. You can get beautiful sparkler photographs, although I’d suggest doing it earlier in the evening before people have had too many drinks.
